October 2023 - Joining The University of Washington

As of October 1, 2023, I officially begin as my post as Postdoctoral Scholar in The University of Washington’s Evans School of Public Policy and Governance. In that role, I will continue to develop my research on the politics of the just transition as well as its extensions into maritime space. I also will be working on completing my book manuscript tentatively titled: Disciplining Waters, The Politics of Desalination in a California City. My two year position is sponsored by the Ocean Nexus Fellows Program and the Nippon Foundation. More to come on this work. In my work there I will continue to build on the collaborations I developed as an Ocean Nexus Fellow at Arizona State University, such as with Grant Blume and Yoshi Ota. I am looking forward to continuing this partnership, and with colleagues whose work represents the intellectual freedom and rigor I always strive for.
