January 2023 - Joining Arizona State University

In late December 2022, I officially joined the new School of Ocean Futures within Arizona State University’s College of Global Futures as a Postdoctoral Research Scholar. In this position I am also affiliated with the University of Washington College of the Environment’s Ocean Nexus Center and Ocean Nexus Fellows program. In this new position, I will be expanding my existing research agenda on environmental (in)justices, climate change adaptation practices, and political economy by furthering my concerns regarding urban and coastal sustainability in new empirical contexts. Not only was I drawn to this position because of the intellectual environment offered, but because it is additionally a unique opportunity to elaborate my public sociological work, engaging with new and diverse stakeholders around the world to produce impactful knowledge. I’m looking forward to sharing more of my work with an exciting new group of colleagues in the months and years to come.
